Welcome, one and all, to The Hidden Grimoire. The focus of this site is to serve as a reputable source for knowledge and learning about the Wiccan religion, witchcraft as a practise, and Paganism as it relates to our world. On it, you will find pages that discuss holidays celebrated by Wiccans, the tools of the Craft, the basic elements of a ritual, the idea behind spells, and news relating to Wicca and witchcraft.
In today’s world, it’s especially important to promote religious tolerance among communities. This is not just an outdated claim from attention-seekers; it is a genuine concern. Wicca as a religion is peaceful and teaches respect, the importance of community, and the importance of connection with the Divine. Too often people gloss over the surface, looking at a love spell here or a pentacle there, and deem it frivolous or immature. Monotheists become frightened by the idea of a female representation of the Divine, not realising that Catholicism has used one for centuries. Fundamentalists claim that Wiccans are Satanists, which is patently untrue and discussed on the “Wicca: Satanism?” page.
When learning about religions you must keep an open heart. Use your head and your soul to ascertain if what is occurring is really good. Research information thoroughly and make sure the information is up-to-date; a book about Paganism published in 1960, for example, may be full of bias and incorrect information. Most of all, enjoy yourself. Welcome to The Hidden Grimoire. Please take your time looking around.
